Jennifer Bird is a Vice President at Empire Search Partners where she places partners, associates, and in-house counsel with leading law firms and corporations. She has advised and placed attorneys in a wide range of practice areas, including tax, trusts & estates, mergers & acquisitions, employee benefits, project finance, health law, litigation, corporate finance, intellectual property, and bankruptcy.

Jen takes a very consultative and hands-on approach with her clients and attorney candidates and focuses on building strong, long-term relationships to understand their needs and objectives. In addition to presenting attorneys with specific opportunities, she offers them a wider view of the overall market and potential career trajectories, prepares candidates for interviews, and assists candidates with managing the interview process and negotiating offers. She has also held several workshops for attorneys contemplating the next move in their careers and is a frequent speaker on the topic.

Before joining Empire Search Partners, Jen practiced law as a tax and trusts and estates associate at White & Case in New York, where her practice focused on estate and tax planning for the firm’s high net worth clients. Jen earned her J.D. from Yale Law School and her B.S., magna cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa, in Psychology from Brown University. She is currently a member of the Board of Directors of Community Mediation Services, a nonprofit dispute resolution center in Jamaica, Queens.
